Battle Against Autism is a series of events created by Chip & Sandi Robinson to raise funds for the Baton Rouge Speech and Hearing Foundation to assist in the growth of the Autism program. For its third year, the focus shifts to the expansion of the Foundation into The Emerge Center for Communication, Behavior and Development, a larger facility that will open in 2014.
Battle Against Autism would like to thank all of the Eagle Sponsors:
The 3rd annual Battle Against Autism
event has officially begun!
Letter from the Executive Director
Thank you for your interest in the Battle Against Autism benefiting the Baton Rouge Speech and Hearing Foundation's brand new facility, The Emerge Center for Communication, Behavior and Development, which will open in Spring 2014.
Proceeds from the Battle Against Autism as well as generous donor contributions have enabled us to begin construction on this new, larger center where we can accommodate more families.
The Emerge Center is a 26,000 square foot facility that will open doors to treatment for so many more children. With 1 in 88 children (1 in 55 boys) diagnosed with autism, the demand is real, and our waiting list continues to grow. Our early intervention program for children with autism is the only one in this region that combines one-on-one intensive therapy with group language, and occupational therapy in a preschool setting. We offer a one-stop shop for children to receive comprehensive and coordinated therapies.
Community support for our new center will ensure children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders receive the help they need both now and in the future. Join us today in our Battle Against Autism.
