The 6th annual Battle Against Autism
event has officially begun!
It is hard to believe it has already been just a few months since we opened the doors the The Emerge Center. Wow, what a whirlwind and wonderful time it has been. The Emerge Center is everything we dreamt of and more.
The center has been very well received by our clients and families. Our children have had the opportunity to experience our therapeutic playground, sensory gym, and all the new specialized treatment materials and toys. Parents are enjoying our new Parent Resource Room, and we have already held several community meetings in our Conference Room. In addition to doing hearing evaluations in our state of the art sound testing booths, our audiologists have been able to repair hearing aids in the audiology lab reducing the time a patient needs to be without his/her hearing aids. We have begun to add new staff allowing us to expand our services to more children. The Emerge Center gives the staff the ability to be more effective and to work more cohesively. We are looking forward to adding many new children to our programs, and in August we will welcome our first Emerge Kindergarten class and expand our Bloom Program for children with autism.
All of this would not be possible without community support such as the Battle Against Autism. The Battle Against Autism Fundraiser over the last several years has raised over $500,000 of critical support to help make the Emerge Center a reality. We now need your help more than ever. The proceeds from this tournament will go directly to our innovative therapy program for young kids with Autism so they can get the the help that they need as quickly as possible.
So, on behalf of our families and staff, I would like to say to you thank you for supporting the Battle Against Autism! Please also know that you are welcome anytime to visit and see your dollars at work. The Emerge Center is a fun place to be. It really puts a smile on your face.
